(If you come from Mahón (10 kilometers away), you pass the airport roundabout and continue straight ahead)
In Sant Climent, turn left, go on for about 3 kilometers until you see the exit to Cala Canutells and the village of Ses Tanques.
The hamlet is about 10 minutes from the airport (A taxi should cost you about 12 to 14 Euros)
In the centre of Es Canutells, you'll find a slim church, built in 1889; besides there are a couple of shops, two car-hire places and one little supermarket.
The beach is rather tiny: Only 53 metres long and 90 metres wide.
The Grupotel is located 200 metres from the beach.
On the lefthand side, when looking out to the Mediterranean sea, you will find some prehistoric caves.
These caves have had several uses during the passage of times. Nowadays they are being used by fishermen, but it is said that they were also used by corsairs.
In the mood for a walk?
Take the road leading from Sant Climent to Es Canutells.
Approximately 2 kilometers down this road, turn left and leave your vehicle in a gateway, some 200 meters on the left.
Almost opposite to the gateway is a country lane heading south toward the sea. Some 100 meters away you will spot the tower of a fortified farmhouse on the skyline and just before this, you will see the gardens of Santa Barbara and a cypress tree.
When you come across a villa with a weather vane, keep on following the lane which veers round to the right. This will take you to a tarmac road to Binidalí.
To return to your vehicle, either use the same route - or turn right on the main road and walk back this way.
