Sant Climent

The small village of Sant Climent is just 2 kilometers (5 minutes by car) away from Mahón airport on the road to Calan Porter; it has some 500 inhabitants.

The village was founded by the Arabs as "mussaptas", farms specialising in corngrowing.

In this area you will frequently see village names beginning with Bini which comes from the Moorish occupation (Bini means belonging to the son of).

On the photograph on this page you can see the church, built in 1817.

The festivals are held on the last weekend of August.
