Es Migjorn Gran



Es Migjorn Gran has a population of approximately 1,450 inhabitants.

It was the hometown of Joan Riudavets who died in 2004 aged 114.

Es Mijorn Gran is Menorca's newest municipality, independent since 1989.
This village's origin dates back to 1768 when its church was built. The hamlet is surrounded by a beautiful countryside and the starting point if you wish to walk to the Cova des Coloms or the Barranc de Binigaus.

Getting there

From the airport head towards Ciutadella.
Approximately 20 kilometers from Maó you will encounter a junction to Sant Tomás which is the nearest beach resort.
